How much is the appointment fee?

Appointments are €85. Payments can be made online at the time of booking or in the clinic after the appointment with cash or card.

How long are appointments?

The initial appointment is generally about 50-55 minutes. All follow-up appointments are between 45-50 minutes.

How can I reschedule my appointment?

I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. However, regardless of when the appointment was booked, at least 24 hour advance notice is required when rescheduling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to take the appointment slot.

Reminder emails are sent to you 36 hours in advance of your appointment. This is to account for my cancellation / rescheduling policy. To reschedule before this notice period you can click the “change/cancel appointment” button at the bottom of your confirmation or reminder email. This will take you to the booking schedule and you can choose a time that suits you.

You will not be able to reschedule within 24 hours of your assigned appointment time and will be charged the full fee of €85 for the appointment.

How can I cancel my appointment?

My desire is to be effective and fair to all clients and respectful of my assigned treatment times. If 24 hours notice is not given to cancel your appointment you will be charged the full fee of €85 for the missed appointment. 

What happens if I’m late?

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you.

If you arrive late your session will be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I will have to determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the cost of the “full” session.

What happens if I don’t show up for my appointment?

Patients who either forget or consciously choose to not avail of their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”.  You will be charged the full fee of €85 for the missed appointment. 

Appointment Cancellation Due to Practitioner Unavailability

There may be times when I will have to unexpectedly cancel or reschedule appointments too. As a self-employed mum of a young toddler those unexpected events range from illness or child care challenges to severe weather conditions or transportation issues. My intention, as always, is to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality care, transparency and patient satisfaction.

I will make every effort to notify patients of a cancellation as soon as possible and will communicate options to reschedule if they wish to do so or cancel entirely.

If I am unable to provide more than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation, patients will receive a 10% discount on their next rescheduled appointment as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused.

Patients who have pre-paid for a cancelled appointment will receive a full refund of the fees paid.

The Right to Refuse Treatment

This part of my policy outlines circumstances under which I may reserve the right to refuse treatment to a patient. It is designed to ensure the safety, well-being and professional integrity of me as a therapist, as well as consideration for other patients who attend my practice.

Patient Illness:

If a patient arrives for an appointment and exhibits symptoms of an illness (e.g. fever, flu, cold, gastrointestinal symptoms, or any other infectious disease) that may compromise my safety as a therapist or the safety of other immunocompromised patients, I will request that patient to reschedule the appointment to a time when they have fully recovered. The full fee will still be charged for that appointment time. 

Unsuitability for Treatment:

I may also reserve the right to refuse treatment if I determine that osteopathic care is not appropriate for a patient’s condition. This includes, but is not limited to, cases where:

  • The patient’s condition falls outside my osteopathic scope of practice or expertise.

  • The patient has a contraindication to treatment that may put their health at risk.
